Have you been connected to JRP initiatives in the past? Check out these great ways to stay connected and continue learning in new ways!!
|
1. JRP 2 Weekly Learning Initiative - Every Monday, from 5:15-6:30pm, join a group of students who learn about current events in the Jewish world and discuss how it affects their lives. Topics and discussion have included: what it means to be antisemitic vs. anti-Israel, issues surrounding defining Jewish 'peoplehood', the role Torah does or doesn't play in our lives, issues in current Israeli or Middle Eastern politics, and much more. Last semester, we studied the entire book of Genesis, one Torah portion at a time. An added bonus - FREE dinner included!
2. Entrepreneurial Start-Up Grants: If you have some great new idea that you want to make a reality, JRP can help you get it started with funding, website space and staff help. Already there are a number of former JRP interns who are thinking about starting new initiatives or building on what they've done in the past.
3. Kavannah Initiative - Are you bored, confused and intimidated at services? Do you find yourself sitting there thinking, "I don't believe any of this!"? The Kavannah Initiative is an intellectual, open environment for people who want to learn about the major prayers in our tradition and figure out how they are relevant in our lives today.
