JOCI is JRP's address for all things Jewish and off-campus.  JOCI supports upperclassmen living off-campus with resources (financial and other!) to create Jewish events for your friends. Your humble abode can be the starting point for holiday celebrations, Shabbat cooking classes, movie screenings, opportunities to schmooze with professors, and many other exciting events that you can create!

Click here to apply for a JOCI Entrepreneurs Grant.

For the next few months, JOCI will also send special dedicated emails to seniors, informing you of great opportunities for your life post-Penn.

Finding a job right now is hard… Especially right out of college. So why not take some time off to explore and integrate yourself into the young and flourishing cities of Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem! WUJS Israel Hadassah provides the ultimate Israel Experience for young Jewish adults from around the world. WUJS provides you with the opportunity to combine study, volunteering and professional internships all within a dynamic and safe environment. Whether you want to study the Hebrew language, volunteer with special needs children or find an internship in one of Israel's leading companies or organizations, the WUJS Israel Hadassah program will give you the framework to succeed!

For information on the different programs offered, and information on how to apply, visit the website at: http://www.wujsisrael.org/

2) Pardes Summer Learning Program in Israel

The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem immerses men and women of diverse backgrounds in the study of classical Jewish texts in a rigorous, challenging and open-minded environment.  This year’s Summer Program at Pardes has been given an extreme makeover! For the first time, each of the 3-week sessions will be themed, and there will be day-trips around Israel every Thursday throughout the summer, giving you a chance to explore places and meet people that will enrich your understanding of the theme. The three themes this summer will be “Our Jewish Body/Our Jewish Selves,” “I Am Me, You’re Not Me!”, and “Israel is Real,” and due to popular demand, Hebrew language studies (ulpan) will be included as part of every session. E-mail summer@pardes.org.il or call 212 447 4333 (North America) / +972 2 673 5210 (Israel) with any questions!

For more program information, including themes, dates, tuition, and how to apply, check out the website: http://www.pardes.org.il/programs/summer/summer_sessions/summer_s.php

3) Staff an Adamah Adventures Trip!

Adamah Adventures is a new summer offering that invites Jewish teens to take on some of the country’s most thrilling, awe-inspiring outdoor adventures.  They believe that the most important element in providing an amazing summer experience is having an amazing staff. Adamah Adventures starts hiring its summer staff in the fall and looks for people that believe in their mission, have a passion for working with teens, and love being in the outdoors. In addition to ensuring the safety of the campers, the staff is there to guide, teach, and learn along with the campers.

For more information see the website: http://www.adamahadventures.org/staff/staff.html

4) PresenTense Summer Institute

The PresenTense Summer Institute brings together innovators on the cutting edge of creativity: programmers and designers, informal educators and rappers, nonprofit managers and biotech visionaries—anyone with a vision and a portfolio of innovation who is dedicated to solving problems facing the Jewish People and the World. The PresenTense Summer Institute is an intensive six-week bootcamp for social entrepreneurs in Jerusalem, Israel from June 10 - July 24, 2010 — where fellows are trained in the practical skills of social start-up development and are helped by PresenTense and the PresenTense Network to launch their ventures into the world.
