3.    A message from the AMAZING Hillel NSO C0-chairs

Hi!  Our names are Lani and Evan, and as co-chairs we are trying to recruit a mix of the most dynamic Jewish students that Penn has to offer.  Even if you aren't involved with Hillel or JRP now, this committee will be a great chance to meet other cool Freshmen and pre-Frosh and to get some experience with event planning.  We really want to spice up NSO this year and include all kinds of Penn Jews – involved,  uninvolved, loved Hillel NSO, hated Hillel NSO, didn’t realize Hillel HAD an NSO, etc.!  Everyone should feel qualified to help out and all class years are welcome!

Our first meeting will be this Wednesday April 22 in the Berkowitz Living Room (1st floor of Hillel) at 8:30 pm and our final meeting before summer will be Thursday April 30 at 7 pm. If you are interested in being involved, but can't make it to one or both of the meetings, please email hillel.nso.2009@gmail.com.

For more details, check out the spiel below the dotted line.
We hope to see you Wednesday at
8:30!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hillel NSO is 5 days of programming with events where incoming Freshmen can meet each other and upperclassmen. NSO is the first opportunity for new students to find a community at Penn. All it takes is that one crazy awesome event or that one in-depth conversation with a person to hook a new student up with a community for their semester, their year, or their entire college career.

Hillel is one such community. Each
NSO is a new opportunity to get to meet Jews and non-Jews alike through different events and programs. The challenge lies in creating events and themes that can bring new students in and allow them to find their place at Penn.

At the meeting on Wednesday we'll talk about how we envision
NSO this year, make a calendar, split up into subcommittees that will organize individual events, and jump right into planning.

Everyone should feel qualified to do this. If you are energetic and want to meet incoming freshmen and make those 5 memorable days really stellar then that's all you need!

Again, if you are interested in being involved, but can't make the meetings, please email us at hillel.nso.2009@gmail.com.
