Jason Ketover - Mask and Wig Final Shabbat Dinner

May 7 2010 - 12:29pm
Event Details

For my final event, I took the Mask and Wig Class of 2012 out for a Shabbat dinner at Lee How Fook in Chinatown and then to Capogiro for gelato to celebrate Shabbat and our recent induction into the Undergraduate Club. We talked about what relaxation and reflection meant to us and the meanings of the sabbath in Jewish and Christian traditions. I taught a little about Shabbat and its relevance to every person's life, and I brought a New Testament for one of the other guys in the group to read from and discuss the Christian perspective on the sabbath. There were four Jews (myself included) and five non-Jews at this event.
